Someone Evil Broke This Little Dog’s Jaw – Now Rescuers Are Teaching Her to Love Again

Rescue Dogs Rock is desperately asking for help for this beautiful little girl named Shawna. Her story is a sad one and makes us despair at the world.

Shawna came into a kill shelter in Georgia with a badly broken jaw. Both her jaw and mouth were covered in dried blood, which indicates she might have been like this for a little while. This is her only injury, suggesting that someone has deliberately broken this poor little girl’s jaw! Can you imagine, even for a second, wanting to take a dog and injure it? What thought process must a person go through to justify attacking an animal, leaving them unable to fend for themselves? How could poor Shawna have eaten or drunk anything with her mouth gaping open like this?

Shawna is now safe with Rescue Dogs Rock’s vet partner, being cared for and having her pain managed. Her carers have had to tape her mouth temporarily while they determine if she needs surgery since the break is in a difficult position at the back of her jaw. Shawna is micro-chipped, so we know there is a person out there responsible for this awful injury. The shelter involved is going to be pursuing a case of animal cruelty to get justice for this poor little girl.

There is never an excuse for animal cruelty. It doesn’t matter how much a dog barks or whines or asks for attention, causing them this kind of harm is no excuse at all. If a person is capable of severely injuring a defenseless animal, it shows that they are dangerous enough to hurt more than just a poor dog that can’t fight back. Justice for Shawna is necessary, but even that isn’t going to take away the memory of what happened to her!

Rescue Dogs Rock works hard to help dogs like Shawna. If you are interested in finding out more about what they do or are in a position to Donate towards the life-saving medical care Shawna will need, then please visit their Facebook page.
